MCCARES will be holding it's 9th Annual, "NEW TO YOU" sale on June 7th and 8th from 8:00a.m. to 4:00p.m. at the Mecosta County Area Fairgrounds in Big Rapids.

All proceeds from this sale will be put into our Certificate Fund, which provides spay/neuter certificates to owners who adopt dogs from the Mecosta County Animal Shelter.  Funds will also be used to assist those who rescue stray and abandoned cats with spay/neuter and for our many educational brochures.  For more information, see the "Newsletters" section in this website and look for the latest newsletter..."Spring 2012".

MATCH DAY!!

Match Day has come to an end for this year and we are hoping that there will be another even next year! McCARES raised $4838.93 between October 3rd and November 3rd 2011! A big "THANK YOU" to all who supported McCARES by donating!

ANNUAL FUNDRAISERS

June  -   Rummage Sale and Plant Sale     

                   

     

     We raise our money through Donations and our Annual Events.  Our Rummage Sale occurs in June at the Mecosta County Fair Grounds, in the Exhibition Building on West Avenue in Big Rapids. Our Rummage Sale is made possible by donations from many generous people. We also sell a wide variety of plants for Spring planting, some of which include: Day Lillies, Canas, Moonflowers, Lamb's Ears, Sedum, Siberian Irises, and many, many more.

    Thank You to all who donated items to our sale which was held on June 9th and 10th, 2011.  The generousity of those donating was overwhelming and greatly appreciated!

    

September 5, 2011 -  Labor Day Arts and Crafts Sale

  We had lots of fun at Our Arts and Crafts Sale on Labor Day Weekend!  It went quite well for us even though it was a bit chilly and cloudy.  We sold many of our homemade dog toys, catnip cat toys, gourmet dog cookies and other items that were made by volunteers.  Anyone wanting to volunteer their time at either of these events, please contact us, we always welcome those who are willing to lend a hand.

Here is one customer that decided to try out the bed, and liked it so much, they bought it!!!

Our booth was in the Pavilion, which gave us more room to show all of our homemade items!
